The purpose of this EEO Public File Report is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC's 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the following stations: KMTX-FM and KMTX-AM.
The information contained in this Report covers the time period beginning December 1, 2008 to and including November 30, 2009 (the "Applicable Period").

KMTX AM/FM is an equal opportunity employer and has followed a consistent practice of making the public aware of any broadcast career and job opportunities. As of November 30, 2009, this station continued those EEO efforts. April 1, 2009, KMTX participated in the Helena Area Employer Job Fair at Carroll College. KMTX aired a 2-hour live broadcast and spoke with a number of employers. KMTX handed out information to people interested in broadcasting.
In June 2009, the KMTX general manager attended the MBA Annual EEO seminar. Panelist was Maureen Lennon, Esq., Garlington, Lohn and Robinson (law firm) Missoula. Topics included FCC EEO requirements, Montana EEO law, employee handbooks, non-compete contracts, employee disciplinary actions, advertising and interviewing.
In November 2009, a job shadow from the Partnership for Alternative Learning (PAL) came to the station for 3 hours.
KMTX continues to participate in the ongoing Montana Broadcaster's Association Scholarship program. It includes a financial contribution, airing scholarship announcements, and agreeing to review applicants.
KMTX participates in the Broadcast Compliance Services for outreach and recruiting. This service maintains a database of over 10,000 resources for outreach during hiring.
